" I wrote the song after reading 'Shadow Divers' by Robert Kurson in which he recounts the discovery of a World War II German U-boat sixty miles off the U.S. coast in 1991. The song describes a sailor who is about to leave on a long trip and wonders whether he will ever see the girl he loves again."

This is one of my favorite songs by Sky Sailing. Those lyrics at the end are so calming and wonderful, really loved it!

Sky Sailing - Alaska

This is a very relaxing short song from Sky Sailing. The best conditions to listen to that are during a trip by car and when the road is so mountainous, the feel was great even though here in Indonesia never has snow or tundra around, completely tropical.

Owl City - Bird With A Broken Wing

The chorus of this song is so emotional and happy at the same time whenever I listen to it.

Trivia:
1.) In the commentary for Bird With a Broken Wing, on Youtube, he mentions he pays homage to the bands Blink-182 and Greenday.

2.) He explains the feelings within the song as "aggressive and raw in nature", and he tried to "blend optimism and sadness" and reinforcing the concept of "a sad song that sounds happy".

3.) For the inspiration he mentions tries to "capture the feelings when I watch The Walking Dead (a TV show) or playing The Last of Us (a game)" and Book of Eli.

4.) Additionally, he talks about another idea for inspiration: "If a future civilization arrived" they would be "seeing the aftermath" of such an Apocalyptic world, and would "find a diary of the last man alive, with the last entries in his diary".

Finally, after 3 weeks I can continue to make Owl City Art. This time, it's not just my favorite but the best song that I've ever heard!! A song that I get more into Owl City music. Hope you guys like it, thank you.
